Hours: 15-20 hours per week, depending on availability
One-on-one discipleship (3 hrs)
Administrative (3 hrs)
Program (10 hrs)
Purpose:
The HSM Intern works under the direction of the Director of High School Ministries to assist in the leadership and execution of Trinity HSM’s ministry to students.
Qualities:
A mature Christian with a friendly and fun personality, and strong character.
Dependable and prompt.
Committed to fostering an open and fun environment for our students to grow closer together.
Willing to work flexible hours as needed.
Able to articulate the gospel and demonstrates the Fruits of the Spirit.
Able to support the doctrines of ECO, and willing to express faith in accordance with those standards.
Regularly reads the Word of God devotionally.
Able to proficiently utilize technology relevant to this position (Microsoft Word, email, presentation software, social media, etc.)
Has reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Build relationships with students and volunteer leaders, taking time to regularly connect with and encourage students outside of the church building.
Assist in leading regular Youth Group programs and special events under the direction of the High School Director.
Stay in close communication with the High School Director and respond promptly to all communication.
Schedule:
Sundays from 8:30am-12:30pm.
Wednesdays from approximately 3:30pm– 9:30pm. (Subject to change.)
Your presence is also expected at planned special events several times each month.
Other hours depending on schedule.
This schedule breakdown is an approximation. The nature of youth ministry is that events and programs may come up or go later than originally planned.
