Family Ministries Children -- Lead

Bethany Church of Liberty Township, Ohio is seeking candidates for the part-time staff position of Family Ministries Children - Lead.  The qualified candidate will oversee the development and implementation of the children’s ministry programs, events, and volunteers.  The candidate will be responsible for promoting engagement and enthusiasm with children ages birth through sixth grade while maintaining a safe and secure environment that fosters spiritual growth.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive children’s ministry program that aligns with the church’s mission and values of making disciples who make disciples.
• Coordinate and lead children’s programs on Sundays and family/children’s events.
• Build relationships with children and parents.
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of dedicated volunteers to effectively serve in various areas of the children’s ministry.

Qualified skills and experience include:

• A clear testimony that demonstrates a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• A passion for nurturing the faith of children.
• Previous experience in children’s ministry leadership or related field.
• Strong organizational, collaborative leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum development and educational practices.
